U.S. Apparel Imports: Latest and Long-Term Trends (Monthly Report)

9 April 2018 - US apparel imports have sharply rebounded in February, with Chinese shipments surging, possibly due to changing holiday dates from one year to the other. Such a recovery could also be the result of a new shift from cotton to cheaper man-made fiber apparel. Our monthly review covers US apparel import data, with historical trends being analyzed over the 2000-2018 period including cotton vs man-made fiber apparel, and China vs Rest of World (RoW) and vs Vietnam.
