Inflation in Emerging Countries (Monthly Report)

19 April 2018 - Inflation in China slowed down again after near-target levels of the previous month, undershooting market expectations. Pakistani exports are favored by low inflation and the plunge of the Pak rupee. The trend of a weak dollar and a strong euro/sterling continues, potentially further boosting exports to the Eurozone and the UK. Our monthly report offers a comparison of inflation rates in low-cost countries, with historical data available back to June 2007. Impact of currency changes vs the US dollar, the euro and the Sterling is also calculated to assess real terms of trade for exporters.
