Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

9 July 2018 - Cotton prices have rebounded at the end of last week, over anticipations of a sharply lower US production in the next season than initially expected, due to persistent drought in Texas and Oklahoma. Cotton prices have surged to new highs in Pakistan whereas also further rising in India where exports have been boosted by Beijing's decision to apply 25% additional tariffs on US cotton. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index".
