U.S. Apparel Imports: Latest and Long-Term Trends (Monthly Report)

23 August 2018 - US apparel imports have stagnated in June, with unit prices progressively rising at a faster pace over the long term. Shipments from China have slightly dropped in the first half whereas Vietnamese imports were slowing down with US demand shifting to poorest countries. Our monthly review covers US apparel import data, with historical trends being analyzed over the 2000-2018 period including cotton vs man-made fiber apparel, and China vs Rest of World (RoW) and vs Vietnam.
