US Apparel Imports in 2nd Quarter and 1st Half 2018: Categories (Statistical Report)

5 September 2018 - US cotton apparel imports hve begun bottoming out in volume terms in the second quarter this year whereas imports of man-made apparel have stagnated after rising for years. The structural and long-term shift from cotton to polyester could now lose steam, partly due to sharp variations in fiber price trends, as reflected by our detailed analysis of US apparel imports per category. Our series of statistical tables offer a comprehensive view of volume, value and unit value changes, compared with previous quarters and years in 2012-18. Full data are available for downloading into a comprehensive table.
