Cotton Prices on International and Domestic Markets (Weekly Report)

16 April 2018 - China's threat to impose a 26% tariff on its imports of US cotton has eventually failed in depressing international prices in the last week, as demand for US cotton has remained strong from Vietnam. India has also secured additional sales to China, amid rebounding exports and consecutively rising cotton prices at home. Our weekly cotton report covers the international futures market in New York and China, and the physical indicator "A Index". Domestic cotton prices in China, India and Pakistan are also reviewed through a large number of tables and charts. All data are available for download.
